The PhD in Integrated Biology is awarded by the Graduate College. Instruction is offered through the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the Admission Requirements of the Graduate College and the department offering the degree program (review the Integrated Biology Program web site or the General Catalog for departmental requirements).

International students whose first language is not English are advised to review the English language proficiency recommendations for prospective applicants. First year graduate students will have some financial support provided through Teaching Assistantships (second semester for PhD students, and typically fall and spring semesters for MS students), with TA appointments requiring certification of a high degree of English proficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to admit only students with a sufficiently high TOEFL scores (at least 100 overall on the iBT, with a recommended speaking score of 25 or greater).

Support thereafter is considered on a semester by semester basis. This applies to both U.S. citizens and international applicants.
