The University of Iowa recognizes degrees granted by colleges or universities accredited by the Higher Learning Commission or another regional accrediting association.

If the other school is not regionally accredited, the recommendations published by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Offices will be used to determine your eligibility.

There is no need for current or formerly enrolled Iowa students to submit Iowa transcripts or re-submit previously submitted transcripts from other institutions.
