Daily Campus Visits
Consider planning a weekday trip to campus to meet with faculty or staff who teach in your field of interest.
Campus tours depart from the Admission Visitors Center weekdays at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. You can also visit the Office of Admissions (108 Calvin Hall) without an appointment, weekdays from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Grad at Iowa Event
Every October, the Graduate College hosts a one-day campus visit for prospective graduate students. Over 25 departments come together to provide tours and information about their graduate programs.

Travel Resources
Iowa City is about 300 miles from Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Omaha, and Kansas City.
Traveling by plane:
- Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) – 20-minute drive to campus
- Quad City International Airport (MLI) – 60-minute drive to campus
- Des Moines International Airport (DSM) –2.5-hour drive to campus
Traveling by bus:

There are dozens of hotels and other types of lodging in the Iowa City/Coralville Area, including the Iowa House Hotel, a university-owned hotel located in the Iowa Memorial Union. Contact hotels early for the best available campus visitor rates.
